I'm just a naturally disorganized person; can I really learn how to do this?
Yes! I'm a naturally bad-at-math-person, but I learned how to do algebra. Being organized is not some woo-woo magic power bestowed upon you at birth; it's a skill like any other. You didn't learn to walk in a day. You kept at it through face-plants and frustration. You'll have days of doubt during this journey too; that's why I'm here. I'm a heck of a cheerleader.
Ok, but can we really do this over video chat? Don't you need to be in my house?
Are you going to make me get rid of everything I like?
You're a grown-ass woman! I'm not going to make you do anything, least of all get rid of stuff you love. Getting organized is about clarity, about removing the stuff that's getting in the way of what you love and use. What I will do is teach you how to focus on and prioritize what's really important to you.
This sounds hard. I don't wanna.
Then don't! Also, that's not really a question. If you're not ready to fully commit to changing your life and releasing yourself from the guilt and frustration you feel about your home, then you won't get the change you need. I'm here for you when you're ready to push through the temporary discomfort of decluttering and organizing and get your sh*t together. When you're truly serious about doing what it takes to to live a clutter-free, calm, empowered life, you know where to find me.
